Prayers for a successful pregnancy and safe delivery.

For a Successful Pregnancy
Powerful is your intercession with God, Mary, for you are his mother. Tender , too, is your love for us, for you are our mother. Confidently , then, I come to you as a child, poor and needy, to seek your aid and protection. In every trial of motherhood, I beg your aid. For the grace of a happy delivery, I come to you. For your holy assistance in guarding  and directing each tiny soul with which God entrusts me, I call to you. In every sorrow that comes to me in my motherhood, I confide in you.
That I may have strength to bear cheerfully all the pains and hardships of motherhood, I lean on you. That the sweetness of motherhood may not through my neglect be embittered in later years by pains of regret, I trust in you.
That the will of God may always be fulfilled in me through each act of my motherhood, little and great, I beg your aid. Never forsake me dear Mother, my hope, my consolation, my confidence, and my trust, but ever be at my side to aid and protect me, your needy child. Amen.
Mother of Love, of Sorrow, and of Mercy, Pray for us!

A Prayer to St. Gerard for Safe Delivery

O great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of your meek and humble Savior, and devoted child of Mother of God, kindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in your heart and made you an angel of love.
O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, you did bear, like your Divine Master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, you have been raised up by God as the patron and protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the purifying and life-giving waters of baptism through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Letting go AND Letting GOD

Certain times in our lives there are those challenges that are just plain unbearable.  The more that we try to  find the solution the worse the challenge becomes.  When you feel stuck get out of God's way and let him help you.

Friends, sometimes it's as simple as getting out of God's way so he can clear the path for you.  When we are in pain it's hard to make the right decisions.  Learn to stand still and allow God to take your heartaches and challenges.
                              God is so good.
Put your trust in him because he will come through for you every time.

The following link is a new song by the christian band:  Plumb.
May this song remind you that you are not alone regardless on how big your problem.

NEED YOU NOW (How Many Times) by Plumb (official lyric video)

Need You Now (How Many Times)"

Well, everybody's got a story to tell
And everybody's got a wound to be healed
I want to believe there's beauty here
'Cause oh, I get so tired of holding on
I can't let go, I can't move on
I want to believe there's meaning here

How many times have you heard me cry out
"God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.

Standing on a road I didn't plan
Wondering how I got to where I am
I'm trying to hear that still small voice
I'm trying to hear above the noise

How many times have you heard me cry out
"God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.

Though I walk,
Though I walk through the shadows
And I, I am so afraid
Please stay, please stay right beside me
With every single step I take

How many times have you heard me cry out?
And how many times have you given me strength?

How many times have you heard me cry out
"God please take this"?
How many times have you given me strength to
Just keep breathing?
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.

I need you now
Oh I need you
God, I need you now.
I need you now
I need you now

May the Grace of God be with you.

Gracious God, You generously blessed Your servant, Padre Pio, with the gifts of the Spirit.  You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son, and as a stirring inspiration to many people of Your infinite mercy, forgiveness, and love.
    Pray the Rosary
In the confessional, Padre Pio labored endlessly for the salvation of souls.  Through his prayerful intercession, many who suffered were healed of sickness and disease.
Endowed with the gift of discernment, he could read people's hearts.  From the blood of his wounds came a perfumed fragrance, a special sign of Your Holy Presence.  With dignity and intense devotion, he celebrated daily Mass, inviting countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ, in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

Through the intercession of Padre Pio, I confidently beseech You to grant me the grace of (here state your petition).  Help me to imitate his example of prayerful holiness and compassion, so that I, too, may faithfully follow the Risen Lord, and one day rejoice in the Kingdom, where You live and reign forever and ever...Amen.

Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action.

Mother Teresa

Kindness begins in the home.
What is the purpose in treating people outside your circle with kindness when you don't show it to those whom you love?

Always remember that charity begins at home.

Peace to you

Photo: Tómalo muy en cuenta...
All of the things that come from you, return to you.  It isn't necessary to preoccupy yourself with what you will receive.  Instead concern yourself with what you give.

Galatians 6:7

English Standard Version
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

God  commissioned me to heal you...I am Raphael, one of the seven angels who enter and serve before the glory of the Lord." - Tobit 12:14-15

Prayer for Healing
Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners.I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the "medicine of God" I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (here mention your special intention), and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Catholic Prayer For Marriages

Catholic Prayer For Marriages
We thank you, O God,
for the Love You have implanted in our hearts.
May it always inspire us to be kind in our words,
considerate of feeling,
and concerned for each others needs and wishes.
Help us to be understanding and forgiving
of human weaknesses and failings.
Increase our faith and trust in You
and may Your Prudence guide our life and love.
Bless our Marriage O God,
with Peace and Happiness,
and make our love fruitful for Your glory
and our Joy both here and in eternity.

When marriages come under fire it stirs up all sorts of emotions within our spirit.  Finally, we get tired and call out "divorce" but what if we just surrendered it all to God?  Yes, just give it all to God to handle.  I'm certainly not suggesting to ignore the situation and do nothing but rather "from the gut" believe that God will help you through your marital crisis.

As we all know, God does not like divorce but we certainly cannot control the actions of our spouse but we can our own.  Let's take for example infidelity--yes that ugly word--cheating- so do we just continue to allow ourselves to be lied to over and over again? Of course not, but by standing still and allowing God to take over it gives you time to think clearly and make wise decisions.

God wants you to be happy but he wants you to give him a chance to help you fix your troubled marriage.  God gave each and everyone of us Free will.  He can send people, angels and signs to help you but if you don't want to do something God won't make you take the path.

Some wives or husbands no matter how hard one tries just don't want to be in the marriage. You need to make peace with the fact that you tried your best but it is time to let go. You let go without feeling guilty or a failure.  God will certainly bring you the calmness needed to bring you through the storm.

As much as God is displeased with the ending of a marriage he also knows that you can begin again under his careful watch.  Marriages --even at their worst-- can be turned completely around  to a happy situation but you need to be patient and remain a person of Grace.

Forgiveness in the healing of one's marriage is vital to begin again.  Yes, it is not always easy to forgive when there has been so much pain.   Love still remains the potent healer to rescue troubled relationships. There is no infinite nor greater love than what God offers us all. If both parties are willing then God will pick up the broken peices and make us whole again.

May the Grace of God be with us all.

God’s pure gift of love is grace

There is no doubt that Grace makes us new.  We enter a new state of being that gives us this clear vision of God.  We are in our most highest and noble self.  God's Grace is this amazing love that only he himself can gift to us.  I believe Grace to be the highest form of love that one can receive.  We become closer  to God through our conservations with him in prayer.

May God's Grace be with you

Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting."
~ Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Catholic morning prayer O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favors, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.

No matter what our circumstances, the start of a new day brings hope and the opportunity to do better than yesterday. Sometimes, we get overwhelmed by our daily responsibilities or worries that we just place our prayer life aside.  The secret in overcoming all those worries and stresses is in prayer.  When we pray with a sincere heart our mind places us in a peaceful zone.  This peace clears our mind so that we can make the right choices and find solutions to our problems. A time of prayer allows us to heal and renew our spirit.  It is only through God that we can find the strength to overcome difficult challenges.  Let his words be your shield when going through a life storm.

May God Bless You With Grace

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven

                   SACRED SPACE

Creating a sacred place to pray at home where it's quiet  can be a challenge. Your sacred space doesn't have to be large.  It can be a small corner of your room or even a shelf that you utilize to place your prayer items. I enjoy lighting candles prior to prayer time but do place them in a candle container for safety. Of course, never leave a candle unattended. I use candles with no toxic products.  The candle burns clean so there is no fear of inhaling toxic fumes. Surround your sacred space/alter with your favorite prayer items.  For example, my sacred space includes my Rosary, candle, soft music, bible and prayer book. I keep my journal there and any pictures significant to me. You set the tone for the day when you begin with prayer.   You set time to meditate on the life of Jesus and in how he wants you to live your life.  It's really like having a conversation with God.  You become the voice of truth and ask God to help you in certain areas that you may feel weak.  This  is a time to offer your thanks and gratitude. As you know, everything good begins by being grateful for what we do have--- not--- what we don't.  We sometimes have tough days but our prayer life helps us meet those challenges.  We all need a time  of solitude to refresh our minds and to ground us.  I enjoy listening to harp music in the background as I pray but you may prefer silence and that's fine. You create your space and time to ensure privacy and peacefulness. I prefer to pray early in the morning and when the weather is nice then I pray on a small patio which works just fine for me.  Prayer time outside by your flowers or just nature does wonders for the soul.

Pray, pray a lot and offer sacrifices for sinners...
