Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, sluggard; consider her ways and be wise; who having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provides her food in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest.

Re-organizing your financial life during tough times can be a challenge.
We will bring you information that have proven to be successful to others.  We do not offer financial advice and  strongly suggest that you contact a professional to assist you in specifics.

-Write your financial life on paper.  What do you spend and what is your income?.

-Create a budget and stick to it. Create a system that works for you.  Set up envelopes and place part of your income in each one.  By the end of the month, you have the money for  all the bills due.  Create an envelope printed in big bold letters, "Money for grand kids" if this is the case for you. This simple system allow you to manage your money. If you are one to misplace things then this is not the system for you to use. Look on line for different ideas and choose one that you feel will work best for you and stick to it.

-Eliminate services that you really don't need in your household. For example, do you really need all those channels to enjoy your viewing entertainment?  These large companies are more than happy to assist in reducing your bill, after all they want to keep you as a customer who can pay the bill.  Suggestion:  Go through all your bills and call the companies and see how you can reduce your monthly bills.

-Take a trip through your attic and garage.  There is someone's treasure waiting there and cash for you.  Have a garage sale, utilize ebay, amazon or craigs list. If you choose to sell your items through Craigs list or anything like it make sure that you implement safety rules.  Do not allow anyone to come to your home instead meet at a local populated place and use the buddy system.  Craigs list offers suggestions on how to safely complete transactions -read them. Like everything else use your common sense.

-Credit cards have their valuable place in our financial life when used responsibly. The very best thing to do is to pay off your credit cards in full when the bill arrives to avoid interest all together. When you use your credit cards and pay on time and in full it raises your credit score.  If you have a large expense where you will need time to pay it off then pay more than the minimal.  For example, the minimum asked is $25 then double that and still add the interest.  Your invoice will state the interest on the balance-pay it off.  Of course, it is far better to pay as much as you can to reduce the interest.

-Eating out can play havoc on our budget--this one is a challenge for me.  I truly enjoy my coffee on the way or maybe a quick bite here and there. I set money aside and use it as entertainment budget.  If I have plans to the movies or a special event then out goes the coffee or any other outside food purchase.  Friends, the best scenario here would be to just bring your own food and a coffee thermos with you.  Truly a challenge for me but if my budget doesn't allow it then I brown bag it. We all have our challenges and I am still working on that myself.

-Look for coupons everywhere-online, community papers, in-store and use them.  Wow, do they save money.  Go online and find these wonderful coupon experts and implement some of their expertise into your own financial life.  Now, with all that said, I have yet to find myself-like the coupon experts-to leave a supermarket with a cart filled to the brim and just paying $15.  I can tell you that I am thrilled when $10 or 20 comes off my bill!

-By implementing these small incremental changes you can find yourself with extra money in your pocket.
The one thing that has helped me tremendously is writing down all of my expenses. You will be amazed on how you spend your money.  We are not perfect and we all spend on things that we may not need so don't beat yourself up for it. We are all a work in progress even in our financial life.

May the Grace of God be with you.

God Will Save Me
A terrible storm came into a town and local officials sent out an emergency warning that the riverbanks would soon overflow and flood the nearby homes. They ordered everyone in the town to evacuate immediately.
A faithful Christian man heard the warning and decided to stay, saying to himself, “I will trust God and if I am in danger, then God will send a divine miracle to save me.” The neighbors came by his house and said to him, “We’re leaving and there is room for you in our car, please come with us!” But the man declined. “I have faith that God will save me.” As the man stood on his porch watching the water rise up the steps, a man in a canoe paddled by and called to him, “Hurry and come into my canoe, the waters are rising quickly!” But the man again said, “No thanks, God will save me.”
The flood waters rose higher pouring water into his living room and the man had to retreat to the second floor. A police motorboat came by and saw him at the window. “We will come up and rescue you!” they shouted. But the man refused, waving them off saying, “Use your time to save someone else! I have faith that God will save me!” The flood waters rose higher and higher and the man had to climb up to his rooftop. A helicopter spotted him and dropped a rope ladder. A rescue officer came down the ladder and pleaded with the man, "Grab my hand and I will pull you up!" But the man STILL refused, folding his arms tightly to his body. “No thank you! God will save me!” Shortly after, the house broke up and the flood waters swept the man away and he drowned. When in Heaven, the man stood before God and asked, “I put all of my faith in You. Why didn’t You come and save me?”
And God said, “Son, I sent you a warning. I sent you a car. I sent you a canoe. I sent you a motorboat. I sent you a helicopter. What more were you looking for?”

God uses us to help one another but sometimes our minds become clouded by our situation. We don't see the hand being extended to us that can save us from a bad situation.  We don't see that God is saving us.  In this tale, you have a man with tremendous faith refusing help because God will save him.  He fails to see the very help in front of him that God sent to him several times in attempts to save his life. Friends, with prayer comes responsibility.  The responsibility to take our faith and to help ourselves through the sources God Provides.  In the tale, God sent the man a warning, a car, a canoe, a motorboat and a helicopter.  God desperately tried to help  the man to save himself. . God gifted us with Free will and he is watching to protect us. We are free to make our choices good or bad.  When our choices are bad God sends us the tools needed to help ourselves.  The help comes through people he places in your own life.  How many times have you found yourself saying, "This came at the perfect time", or "This person showed up just when I needed the help".  Friends, this is God trying to save you. If  you find yourself in a "storm" of your own observe what has come into your life.  God places people in our lives with similar experiences so that you don't repeat the same history in your life. There are people in our lives that are just stuck and even with all the hands reaching out to them just won't take it.  You need to take responsibility and use your faith in God to see the help that he is sending you to save your life.

We need to take our faith and put it into action---  If not, like the man in our tale, we too will drown.

Book of Psalms  Psalm 54
54:1 Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
54:2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
54:3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul:
they have not set God before them.
54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
54:5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
54:6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
54:7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.

POWER in the written word.

Pray the Rosary. Today we meditate on The five Joyful Mysteries.
My mission with this blog is to bring you prayers and encourage meditative moments in your life. Through reflection you will find your true voice and reach your highest human potential.  This blog is open to all people regardless of religious belief.  We all encounter life's challenges and we will write about those issues affecting us.

In order for us to reflect and meditate it is vital that we come face to face with those challenges and confront them. There is no particular order to this blog-simply all of us being here for one another through laughter and the tears. Thank you for your emails that express hope and encouragement.   As you know, everything is confidential and is not printed unless you request it but by sharing your stories it can possibly uplift another. The praying of the Rosary is the first place to find the answers and peace you seek.  It places you in a meditative state which encourages serenity and allows clear thinking to take over.  When you pray the Rosary don't be in a hurry.  This is your time to meditate upon the life of Jesus.  If you need to pray the rosary one decade at a time throughout the day that's okay too.  If you have prayer request please feel free to email and we will post.  There is great power in prayer especially when we join together.  Thank you for sharing this time with me.

May God's Grace be with you

Enjoy the simple things in life..

It's no secret--at least around my neighborhood-that I love my little garden.  My flowers sit outside my front door.  Why?  Because this is the simple beauty that I want to see as I head out my door to a new day.  I love watching nature unfold and to see my flowers in the morning makes me happy. It's as simple as that.  Something that's not a big deal bringing joy to me and my family.

I have a friend who has three dogs and loves to start out the day on a walk path with them.  This sets the tone of the day for her. These things are so simple but  yet so grand in our lives.  We are usually in such a hurry that we really do forget "to smell the roses" along the way.   When's the last time that you took a walk in the park or just relaxed reading a good book?  These simple little pleasures are the things that ground us and allow us to feel blessed.

God offers you these blessings through the simple things around you.  Pay attention to those things that really make you happy and make time for them today.   Remember it's the simple things that make us feel alive. These are God's blessings just for you.

 1 Thessalonians 5:18
New International Version (NIV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Peace be with you.

                             -   Call upon your guardian angel for help throughout life.

“From the beginning until death,” he said, “human life is surrounded by their constant protection.”Pope Benedict

 O most Faithful companion,
appointed by God to be my guide and protector,
and who art ever at my side,
what thanks can I offer thee for thy faithfulness and
and for all the benefits
which thou hast conferred upon me?
Thou watchest over me in sleep;
thou consolest me when I am sad;
thou liftest me up when I fall;
thou avertest the dangers that threaten me;
thou preparest me for the future;
thou withdrawest me from evil
and excitest me to good;
thou exhortest me to penance when I yield to temptation;
and reconcilest me to my offended God.
Long since should I have been cast into hell,
unless by thy prayers thou hadst averted from me the anger
of God.
Leave me not, then, I entreat thee;
but still comfort me in adversity,
restrain me in prosperity,
defend me in danger,
assist me in temptations,
lest at any time I fall a victim to them.
Offer to God my prayers and groanings,
and all my religious exercises,
and obtain for me the great gift of final perseverance,
and the grace to die in the friendship of my Creator,
and so to enter into life everlasting.

                                            Psalm 91:11

    English Standard Version

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.

GOD LOVES YOU no matter what.

We have all felt that, "I have messed up" feeling which instantly puts us in a dark place.  A blog reader  spoke to me today about this very feeling.  First of all, it doesn't matter how old you are because -mistakes- they come with the territory of being human. This individual feels that they are not worthy to go inside a church to worship nor to pray anymore.

God's church doors are open everywhere you walk and he is always there waiting for you to enter.  He loves you no matter what---it's just that simple.  Each day the sunrises it brings with it a gift.  The gift to begin again and to wipe the slate clean.  It  takes some time to create a new history but with God's Grace you can live a brand new life. God forgives but you need to forgive yourself too. I tell you now that all you have to do is talk to God as you speak to one another.  If you are remorseful for something that you have done then tell him.  Give God a chance to heal you and help you make things "right" again. Our God has given us -free will-so choose not to feel like you carry the  burden alone.  God walks with you whether you call upon him or not because he loves you.
He loves us all no matter what.

Here is the link to a song that expresses God's love better than I can ever put it.  Listen.

The Lyrics: Who am I
Over time You've healed so much in me
And I am living proof
That although my darkest hour had come
Your light could still shine through

Though tough at times it's just enough to cast
A shadow on the wall
Well, I am grateful that You shine
A light on me at all

Who am I
That You would love me so gently?
Who am I
That You would recognize my name?

Lord, who am I
That You would speak to me so softly?
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

And the more I sing that sweet old song
The more I understand
That I do not comprehend this love
That's coming from Your hand

Who am I
That You would love me so gently?
Who am
I that You would recognize my name?

Who am I
That You would speak to me so softly?
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's great grace
Grace that is greater than all my sin

Who am I
That You would love me so gently?
Who am
I that You would recognize my name?

Lord, who am I
That You would speak to me so softly?
Conversation with the love most high
Who am I?

Lord, who am I?
Who am I? Who am I?

Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace, grace, God's grace
Grace that is greater than all my sin

"When I say, "My foot is slipping," your love, Lord, holds me up.  When cares increase within me, your comfort gives me joy."

God Bless You

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy." Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray." "Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life." "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, 'Mom.'"

By Anonymous Writer " It's those little things that count...."

- A brief entry by an anonymous reader of our blog that we would like to share with you...
How many of you experience minor chaos in your life? I'm talking about random events that impede daily living; like rough traffic, or burning breakfast. We all follow our own unique set of daily habits, and when disrupted, it can sour your whole day! It seems the only thing we can do is ask our lord for patience, and try and get through the day. Is this the right choice?

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” - Proverbs 16:9

It's natural for us to try and control our life, and God expects us to. Our lord wants us to reach our full human potential; we were made in his image, after all! Perhaps, however, we over-reach in these efforts. We try to control our appearance, our wealth, and even other people! We all want for life to fall within our perfect expectations, and yet we're always disappointed when fate takes a different path than expected.

I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live.” - Ecclesiastes 3:12

Stop the flurry of daily life. Stop working overtime just to acquire more money to acquire more things! Things don't make you happy, only you can determine what sponsors your happiness. Happiness is state of mind, and is not governed by what your boss says, how much money you make, or how well promoted you are. God gave man the ability to find happiness even in the most dire circumstances. Don't let his gift go to waste!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11

I want you to devote some time, any amount, to sit, meditate, and reflect on what truly makes you feel joy. It can be your craft, spending time with family, and most importantly your prayer life.; devote time to what makes you happy. An hour cleaning dishes is much better spent playing with your grandchildren, no matter how demanding those dirty plates may seem.

It's those little things that count.

To My Anonymous reader/writer

Thank you for sharing such lovely verses and thoughts.
--Yes, the greatest of gifts many times comes in small packages.  It's those small incremental changes that can make our world a better place.

Peace of God be with you.

Hi Everyone!  I hope all is well with you.  Most of my sales are from the one decade rosary which are designed especially for you. I am also fond of the one decade Rosary because we can actually pray throughout the day.  It is small enough for our pockets to serve as a comfort and a reminder to pray the Rosary.  I also enjoy that we can place it on our car mirror to serve as witness of our faith but it also does not obstruct our vision while driving.

As you know, my prices are extremely reasonable and that is because I do not charge you the labor.  Yes, the art of Rosary Making is quite labor intensive but this is my gift to our Blessed Mother.
I am quite aware of the prices charged for the same material and I quite frankly am surprised. Some individuals/business are charging up to $ 90.00 for a car rosary using the same or similar  material.

I also use genuine gem stones which I charge only $10 more simply because they are more expensive to purchase for me. The 14kt gold and sterling silver full decade rosary is quite expensive but not even close to what most other are charging. In addition, I also offer a payment plan- without interest- which can make the purchase easier for you.  My Swarovski Rosaries do run a bit higher in price--$50-80 because the stones are expensive when I purchase them.

My intention as a Rosary Maker is to bring our Blessed Mother"s  Rosary to you.  I want you to discover the beauty and power of the Rosary.  Even if it means that it is just on your person or in your car but at least that is a start.  Mary shows us Jesus through the meditation of the Rosary.

On this blog, you will find instructions on how to pray the Rosary and I also give you a pamphlet upon asking.   You will also find throughout my blog that we offer FREE Mission Beads upon asking.
I truly love being a Rosary Maker for our blessed Mother. I place this passion for my art into each  Rosary that I create.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude for your business and kindness.
Being a Rosary maker has brought many wonderful people into my life.  You have shared your stories which inspire me to create each day.

Thoughts, hugs and prayers and Wishing God's best for you

Ephesians 5:8 (New King James Version)

Walk in Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
If you haven't noticed --we all make mistakes.  There is no escaping that as  human beings- unless you know something that the rest of us don't know- there will always be mistakes. It's part of our learning experience while in this world.
The one thing that mistakes have in common are the lies that are attached. Big lies that hurt all those around you and most especially YOU.  Lies keep us stuck in a dark place and stops the flow of progress in your life.

There are a million reasons why we make these mistakes and most of the time because we don't think of the consequences of our actions.  When I reflect upon my own mistakes it all comes down to not taking time to make the right decision or choosing the right words.

"Walking as children of light"  also means being true to yourself. Don't ever stop being true to yourself to please another person. The moment you cease from being true to yourself you open the door to a stream of lies.

Walking in the light is freedom.  Mistakes will always be waiting around the corner ready to trip us .  We are not perfect but if we are in a "step back a moment" mode then we will think things through.

Learn from your mistakes and not repeating history is your job in order to move forward.  You are not defined by your past mistakes.  You are defined by who you are today--this moment.

Each day is a new opportunity to be better than yesterday or to begin again.

Say to yourself each morning, that you are light in the Lord.
                                    Walk as children of light
 Peace and Joy

Walk in Truth .

Remember your mom on Mother's Day-

Each year on the second Sunday of the year we set aside a day to honor our Mother's.

Photo: Hay formas de decir gracias a mamá, comparte este mensaje para que todas ellas sepan que son nuestro motor.Remember to thank her whether she is here with you or has now gone home to our heavenly father.

Regardless of your relationship with her, she gave you life and did the best she could to raise you.
It has been a privilege watching my child grow into this wonderful human being.  I cherish my moments as a mom and feel tremendously blessed.  The blessing of motherhood is a feeling that fills my heart with such  great joy.

The love of a mother is a strong emotion.  I carry with me the first time that I  heard my child say," I love you, mommy".   No matter what I accomplish in this life nothing will be more of a success -for me- than that of being a mother.

“Listen, my child, to what your father teaches you. Don’t neglect your mother’s teaching. What you learn from them will crown you with grace and clothe you with honor.” Proverbs 1:8-9

Thank you, Mom and I love you.

Mustard Seed Faith

virgin-mary-wallpapers-1405The month of May is traditionally dedicated to Mary in many cultures. May is considered the season of the beginning of new life. Let's begin again in those areas of our life that no longer serve us. Let the child within you emerge and shine again.

We get so busy with just getting by that we forget to stop and breathe. Look at what is no longer working in your life and make a positive change.

"To begin again" means that you are ready to move forward in a positive direction.  Your changes can be -ever- so small but they accumulate and make a difference.

Make the month of May a time for Movement--Momentum and Melliflouous.  Make changes that will lead you to a more positive and healthy life. Our blessed mother wants to help you through the tough times.
Invite the Blessed Mother Mary into your life.
Friends, faith is a very powerful gift from God. Luke 17:6, Jesus tells His disciples: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”
You have the power to change your life for the better.

The most famous of the small scapulars is the Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (the "Brown Scapular"), revealed by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself to St. Simon Stock on July 16, 1251. Those who wear it faithfully as an expression of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, it is said, will be granted the grace of final perseveranceThe best known and most highly esteemed scapular, and the one most favored by the Church, and by the Blessed Virgin in many of her apparitions, is the Brown Scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

It is adapted from the scapular of the Carmelite Order and represents a special Consecration to Our Lady under the title of Our Lady of
Mt. Carmel. Those who wear it practice it a special devotion to Mary.

This, in fact, has been promised to those who faithfully wear the scapular:
"Those who die wearing this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire."

This must not be understood superstitiously or magically, but in light of  Catholic teaching that perseverance in faith, hope and love are required for salvation. The scapular is a powerful reminder of this Christian obligation and of Mary's promise to help those consecrated to her obtain the grace of final perseverance.
